Elizabeth who has been staying with us at Beachfront Farmstay Karamea made these yummy Afghan biscuits, tomorrow she is heading off to bike the Otago Rail Trail via  CHCH and will take some for snacks.

Black Passionfruit

Chris & Chris Shaw of Baker's Creek Orchard grow these yummy passionfruit in Karamea. Elizabeth who is staying with us from HelpEx, scraped and strained the pulp to get enough juice so I could make a jelly to serve with creme brulee, tasted good.

Quince Jelly

Drove to Karamea to get some Back Passionfruit from Baker's Creek Orchard,  Chris gave me some Quinces so made some Quince Jelly, tastes good.

Feijoa

This is a winter fruit grown locally, nice stewed, good for chutneys, and jam. I served this as a jelly on toast as part of this morning's breakfast.
