This Lemon Semolina Cake keeps fresh as it has a Lemon Syrup poured over the top, the semolina can be sustituted with rice flour to be gluten free.

Wet miserable day here today so made some chicken,leek & cream cheese pies. After watching Simon Gault on NZ Masterchef making his Game Pie decided to try his recipe less the Duck and I made small pies with a potato topping, they are very good.

After four days walking the Heaphy Track these guests are enjoying a bubbly and toasted ciabatta bread with smoked Fish Pate before dinner.

Elizabeth who has been staying with us at Beachfront Farmstay Karamea made these yummy Afghan biscuits, tomorrow she is heading off to bike the Otago Rail Trail via  CHCH and will take some for snacks.

Black Passionfruit

Chris & Chris Shaw of Baker's Creek Orchard grow these yummy passionfruit in Karamea. Elizabeth who is staying with us from HelpEx, scraped and strained the pulp to get enough juice so I could make a jelly to serve with creme brulee, tasted good.

Quince Jelly

Drove to Karamea to get some Back Passionfruit from Baker's Creek Orchard,  Chris gave me some Quinces so made some Quince Jelly, tastes good.
